iPad comes to 9 new countries this Friday

Irish or Canadian? You lucky devils, you

Apple has announced that it will be selling the iPad in nine more countries, starting this Friday. They released a statement today as follows:

“Apple today announced that iPad will be available in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore this Friday, July 23.”

If you don’t live in these countries then don’t worry, Apple has also announced that the iPad will be available in “many more” countries later this year.

Since launching the iPad in America in early April, Apple has sold over 3 million units. The Geek and Gadget queued up faithfully when they hit British shores in late May.
